10 people burnt alive, 23 people arrested in Birbhum's violence; West Bengal

Officials stated on Tuesday that at least ten people were killed and numerous more were injured in violence that erupted after the death of deputy Panchayat Pradhan in Baguti village in West Bengal's Birbhum district.

Meanwhile, both the police and the ruling Trinamool Congress have denied that the incident was motivated by political purposes.
