Actress from Jharkhand shot and killed on a highway in Bengal

On a highway in West Bengal on Wednesday, Riya Kumari—reportedly an actress from Jharkhand—was fatally shot at close range.
She was traveling from Ranchi to Kolkata when the event occurred, according to her husband Prakash Kumar, who identified himself as a Jharkhand-based film producer.
The couple's three-year-old daughter was traveling with them, and Prakash Kumar was operating the car.

He stopped the car at the Mahishrekha Bridge in Bagnan, Uluberia Subdivision, Howrah District, according to his testimony to the police, to heed to nature's call.
Then three criminals with guns came up to them and started stealing them of their money and other things.
Riya was shot at point blank range by one of the thugs when the couple attempted to resist, and she instantly collapsed bleeding heavily.
According to Prakash Kumar, the criminals left the area right away. He then drove to a nearby community and told the residents about the incident.

The police arrived at the scene after step of data from the local and hurriedly transported Riya to the hospital in the Uluberia subdivision.
But by that time, she was dead. In order to gather more information, the police have opened an inquiry and are interrogating Prakash Kumar.
