An American Singer Mary Millben To Be Performing At The 75th Independence Day Event
The American actor-singer Mary Millben sang the Indian National Anthem “Jana Gana” on the 74th Independence with passion and enthusiasm in Washington, D.C. last year. And this year Millben is invited to India by the government of Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Culture/Indian Council for Culture Relations (ICCR) for the Independence Day celebrations.
“I truly believe that PM Modi is the right leader and visionary for India. He, as a leader, has played a significant role…in the progression of countries. I certainly believe he’s the right leader for strengthening the US-India relationship” said the American singer Mary Millben while interviewing with ANI.

US singer will perform at the 75th Independence Day event on 15 August. Representing the US as a cultural ambassador at the event, Millben, 40, an African-American, is known for her rendition of “Om Jai Jagdish Hare” and Jana Gana Mana.
