Baramulla encounter kills 2 terrorists dead; Anantnag ops enter the fourth day
On Saturday morning, two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out in the Baramulla area of Jammu and Kashmir. In Uri, the counterterrorism operation is still in progress close to the Line of Control.
In a social media post, the Kashmir Police Zone said that "encounter has started between terrorists and Army & Baramulla Police in forward area of Uri, Hathlanga in Baramulla district."
Later, it revealed that the operation had resulted in the deaths of two terrorists.
According to authorities, more information will be provided.
The arrest of two militant comrades and the recovery of weapons and ammunition from them marked the discovery of a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror cell in the Baramulla district the day prior. The two were identified by a police spokesperson as Zaid Hassan Malla, of Mir Sahib Baramulla, and Mohammad Arif Channa, of Stadium Colony Baramulla.
