Army helicopter Cheetah crashes in Arunachal, hunt for 2 missing pilots

On Thursday, an Army chopper that was operating near Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh, crashed. Around 9.15 am, the helicopter was said to have lost contact with air traffic control. It is said to have crashed west of Bomdila, close to Mandala. Search teams have been deployed. A Lt Col and a Major were reportedly on board the Cheetah as it traveled from Senge to Missamari when it crashed close to Mandala.
"Arunachal Pradesh's Bomdila was the location of an Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter that was believed to have lost touch with the ATC at around 9:15 this morning. West of Bomdila, close to Mandala, is where it is said to have crashed. Search teams have been launched", according to a statement from PRO Defence Guwahati, Lt. Col. Mahendra Rawat.
