Arunachal girl jumps to her death from the 7th floor of a Delhi hospital
A female student from India's northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh committed herself by jumping from the 7th floor of the Safdarjung Hospital building in Delhi. On Wednesday, the girl was declared dead. Helping Hands volunteers arrived and are now supporting the police with further investigation.
The young woman was from the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. The reason behind her taking the step is still unknown.
Another suicidal occurrence occurred in February 2019, when a radiologist committed suicide by hanging at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. According to the Delhi Police, the 52-year-old doctor, Poonam Vohra, wrote a note in her bedroom naming three doctors who she accused of "humiliating and harassing" her while she was investigating them. In her suicidal letter, she blamed her suicide on three other doctors.
