Assam: Militants attack army convoy in Tinsukia

On Monday, unidentified terrorists ambushed an army convoy in the Tinsukia area of Assam, according to officials.
According to Lt. Col. Mahendra Rawat, the defence PRO in Guwahati, an army area dominance party was going through the Digboi-Pengri area when bullets were fired at their vehicle from a nearby forest about 9.20 a.m.

There were no casualties noted. Rawat added that the army has begun an operation but that the militant organisation responsible for the event has not yet been found.
