Athlete Loses Race After His (..) Came Out of his shorts in the Middle of the Run

At the 2022 World Athletics Under-20 Championships, an Italian competitor finished last in the 400-meter event after making the impulsive decision to go commando and having to run with his baggy shorts falling off. Alberto Nonino, a decathlete, got off to a strong start by surprising his competitors at the final turn. But in the final straight, he significantly slowed down and was captured on camera flexing his muscles up to six times while his rivals passed him and fell to the back of the pack, only to drag the race down.

Sports journalist David Sanchez de Castro said Nonino's penis kept falling out during the race.

"His penis escaped out of the side of his shorts, which is usual when your dongle is swinging from side to side, and he had to hold it since it was impeding his ability to run effectively." The Spanish-language media jumped to the conclusion that Nonino's sluggish 400-meter time of 51.57 seconds was caused by his decision to run without underwear.

Following the race, the Italian addressed the backlash on social media. He stated: "I just want to talk to you a little bit about the commotion on blogs and social media in general. I'd like to let you know that I'm aware of the reaction and that you don't need to send me the Web links to the blogs already online because I'm aware that it was plainly a mistake. I'm trying to laugh about it now, but I felt awful right away. I appreciate my friends and family for helping me cope with what happened a few hours later.
