Banks to remain close for four days in a row: Check bank holiday in your city

Since the Reserve Bank of India recently announced the holidays scheduled in August across India, all Indian banks will be closed continuously starting tomorrow for 4 days. Banks in some states of the nation will be closed continuously at a stretch for four days starting tomorrow, according to the RBI.

Banks will remain closed in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Kanpur and Lucknow on Thursday on account of Janmashtami.

The following day, August 19, 2022, all banks in the following states will be closed: Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Shimla, Shillong, Ranchi, Patna, Jammu, Jaipur, Gangtok, and Chennai. Due to Shri Krishna Ashtami, banks will close on August 20, 2022, especially in Hyderabad. On August 21, 2022, all of India will have a bank holiday because it will be the end of the week on Sunday.

Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji and Thiruvananthapuram

However, due to Srimanta Sankaradeva's Tithi, Guwahati will also observe a bank holiday on August 29, 2022. Banks will be closed on August 31, 2022, in a number of Indian states in observance of Ganesh Chaturthi. Panaji, Nagpur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Belapur, and Ahmedabad are the states. In particular, the list of bank holidays has been divided into three groups, which include the Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, the Negotiable Instruments Act Holiday, and Bank Account Closing.
