Arshdeep Singh made a brilliant comment about Umran Malik: "Seedha 155 se 135 khelne ata hai batsman."

With the new ball, Arshdeep Singh relies on swing, but he also has the skill to bowl precise yorkers as the game progresses. On the other hand, Umran Malik is a pure fast bowler who regularly exceeds 150 km/h.

In Indian cricket, Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik have experienced quite comparable ascents. After one successful IPL season, both were quickly drafted for the Indian limited-overs teams. While Arshdeep made his debut for India in less than two weeks later in England, Malik made his T20I debut for India against Ireland in June of this year. Since then, Arshdeep has quickly advanced to become one of India's go-to bowlers after outperforming seasoned bowlers Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the T20 World Cup in Australia. Even though Umran was not chosen for the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, he returned to the mix right after the international competition.

Arshdeep and Umran are quite different fast bowlers, despite having comparable careers in Indian cricket. The left-armer depends on swing when bowling the new ball and can produce precise yorkers in the dying stages. On the other side, Umran is a pure fast bowler who frequently exceeds 150 km/h. Arshdeep and Umran, in the opinion of several former Indian cricketers, can eventually constitute the backbone of India's fast-bowling squad.

The brilliant young seamers earned their ODI debuts alongside one another in the opening game against New Zealand in Auckland a few days ago, as luck would have it. The Punjabi youngster's ODI debut didn't quite go as planned as he allowed 68 runs in 8.1 overs without picking up a wicket. However, in the middle of the overs, Umran breathed fire. At least four times, the right-arm pacer from J&K went over 150 km/h, and he took out Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell.

"Umran k saath mahoul kafi accha rehta hai. Usko hasi mazak kaafi pasand hai. Aur jaha tak bowling ki baat hai, Mujhe benefit mil jata hai kyuki 155 se sidha 135 jab khelne ata hai batsman toh decieve ho jata hai toh kaafi pace se."With Umran, things are actually rather enjoyable. He enjoys telling jokes just as I do. In terms of bowling, I benefit much [when he bowls at the opposite end] since batters play at 135 km/h following his 155 km/h deliveries. Both on and off the field, we have a great time. When asked about his partnership with Umran Malik in the press conference prior to the third and final game against New Zealand, Arshdeep responded, "We will try to keep this partnership going even off the field.

Although ODIs and T20Is are generally comparable, the 23-year-old claimed that the 50-over game requires more patience and the willingness to take a backseat.

"Since an ODI is a lengthy game, partnerships are crucial. Just like in batting, partnerships are crucial in bowling as well. I observe how my buddy is bowling on the opposing end. I'll try to halt the runs to support him if he's bowling well and getting more out of the surface. The sport is ultimately a team sport. My partner at the other end will become defensive if I am attacking."
