BJP Assam to file atleast thousand sedition cases against Rahul Gandhi for his tweet:

According to reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would file at least a thousand sedition cases in Assam on Monday against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his tweet declaring "India exists from Gujarat to West Bengal," so caving into Chinese demands for Arunachal Pradesh.

"Our Union is a force to be reckoned with. Our Cultural Union. Our Multicultural Union. The Union of Languages is a group of languages that have come together to form an Our People's Union. Our States' Union, "According to Rahul Gandhi.

He also mentioned that this union was from "Gujarat to West Bengal" in the same tweet. Assam, Tripura, and Manipur Chief Ministers responded to the tweet by pointing out that the Congress leader failed to name the northeast.

According to reports, Rahul Gandhi purposefully disregarded the northeast and therefore gave in to the Chinese demand for Arunachal Pradesh.

On February 10, Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a jab at the Congress politician, remarked, "India is much more than a union. We are a proud country. Your tukde tukde philosophy cannot hold Bharat prisoner. What exactly is your issue with the words "nation," "nationality," and "nationalism"? And hello—we, the Northeast, exist beyond Bengal."

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb launched a scathing attack on the Wayanad MP, claiming that his ignorance is to blame for the Congress' demise in the state.

"Mr. Rahul Gandhi has ignored our beautiful North-Eastern states in order to preach. Did he ignore our region, just like his great grandfather? We, too, are proud to be a part of India. The filing of the sedition charge against the Congress leader comes as the party's student wing has launched protests against Assam Chief Minister for his remark about Rahul Gandhi, asking if the BJP had ever demanded proof of him being the "son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi."

Shortly after the incident, Congress filed complaints against Sarma all throughout the country, demanding that he be fired immediately.
