Children killed at Texas school shooting- aged 5 to 11; summer break in 2 days

Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, which was the site of yet another tragic school shooting in the United States, with the majority of the children killed being between the ages of 5 and 11, was set to close for summer vacation in two days.

The 570 youngsters enrolled there had gone to the zoo and played games in anticipation of the upcoming holidays, and Tuesday was supposed to be a “awards day”… they were told to have fun and dress up for a theme party. It’s a heartbreaking occurrence that has rocked the entire country.

In a terrible incident Tuesday, 19 children and two adults were killed, prompting an outpouring of grief and indignation from relatives and gun control campaigners, prompting US President Joe Biden to ask: “When in the name of God will we confront the gun lobby? Why are we prepared to put up with this carnage? Why are we allowing this to continue?”

The massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde came just ten days after a murderous, racist rampage in a New York supermarket – the latest in a seemingly never-ending string of shootings and vicious gun attacks at churches, schools, and stores, as well as on the street.
