Raja praised the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the message of peace and equality it conveyed in his letter to Gandhi.
"It is imperative that all shades of secular, democratic, and patriotic opinion must unite to reclaim the republic, protect constitutional values, and fight for the inclusive India Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh dreamed of," the CPI general secretary continued, paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's contributions. Mahatma Gandhi gave his life in order to bring about national unity, and his martyrdom motivates us to put aside our differences with "them" and work together to create a better India.
