'Cyclone Tej' alert in Mumbai is crucial in the next 2 days, warns the IMD

Due to a potential cyclonic storm that may form in the Arabian Sea, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding weather changes in Maharashtra city, placing Mumbai on cyclone alert. 'Tej' is the name assigned by the naming procedure in the event that a tropical storm develops.

The Arabian Sea is not currently experiencing a cyclone, but meteorologists are keeping an eye on a low-pressure region that may intensify into one during the coming days. The weather in Mumbai, Pune, and the South Konkan region could be impacted if Cyclone Tej forms.

Over the central Arabian Sea, this region of low pressure has the potential to strengthen into a cyclonic storm on October 21. Fishermen should refrain from going out into the water off the coasts of south Gujarat and Maharashtra, according to the IMD.

It's recommended that people who live along the coasts of south Gujarat and Maharashtra stay informed about the most recent weather reports and heed local authorities' directions.
