For not wearing masks in public locations in the national capital, a fine of Rs500 has been enforced till recently. When the city saw an uptick in cases in November last year, it was upped to 2,000.

The decision to withdraw the fee was made during a DDMA meeting headed by lieutenant covernor Anil Baijal, and came after the city's number of new Covid-19 cases had dropped significantly in recent days.
