DNA of US man to be send to space in an effort to be found by other civilizations

Professor of physics Kenneth Ohm, 86, is prepared to send his DNA to the moon since he has a strong interest in space travel. What makes him want to do it, though? in the hopes that someday another civilization may find his DNA.

Ohm was always fascinated by space, even as a small child. He even attempted to train with NASA as an astronaut. He was turned down, though, because he was 6 feet 2 inches tall. He did, however, publish multiple books about the moon and Midwesterner life, as well as teach for fifty years, as the New York Post stated, due to his lifelong fascination with space.

The New York Times was informed by him that there was a chance that someone will eventually notice his DNA resting close to the moon's southern pole and conclude, "Old Ken has his DNA up there."  Still, the true reason he is sending his DNA is so that, in 30,000 or 40,000 years, his genetic blueprints may be discovered by some remnant of this civilization or another and used "for something extremely cool."

He has also considered the notion of an intergalactic zoo, perhaps housing a caged Ken Ohm, or, much more terrifying, the possibility of a swarm of thousands of reconstituted Ken Ohms spreading throughout the universe.

With Celestis, Ohm is reaching for the stars. The company specializes in rocketing Earthling remains and ashes into space, with prices starting at $2,495.
