Election Commission stopped Sonu Sood for roaming polling booths to 'influence' voters'

The election commission has impounded Sonu Sood's car after receiving complaint that Sonu was roaming the Moga booths and trying to influence voters.The police have taken actor Sonu Sood into custody and have instructed him to stay at home to stop him from going to various booths and trying to influence the voters. The authorities impounded his vehicle when they received a complaint from the Akali Dal.

The election commission of Punjab has impounded the vehicle of actor Sonu Sood in order to stop him from interfering with the voting process. Sonu Sood's sister, Malvika Sood Sachar, is a Congress candidate in Moga constituency.

Davinder Singh, the station house officer (SHO) of city police station, said: “The SUV has been impounded on the basis of suspicious activity. We have received a complaint that the SUV was taking rounds near the polling booth at Landheke village. We have impounded it. Further action is underway.”

When contacted, Sonu Sood said, "The shiromani akali dal candidate, Barjinder Singh alias Makhan Brar has lodged a false complaint against me. It was only a parking issue. The vehicle was not parked correctly."

Later Actor Sonu Sood tweeted and tagged Elections Commission to take immediate action against candidates of other parties who are allegedly buying votes in Moga constituency.
