Former Congress Chief Kishore Upadhyay Expelled for 6 Years
Kishore Upadhyay, the former Congress chief of Uttarakhand, was expelled for six years for "anti-party activities."
As a result of the disciplinary action, he was removed from all positions.
In the run-up to the Uttarakhand assembly elections, the Congress high leadership on Thursday expelled Kishore Upadhyay, the party's previous state unit chief, for a period of six years.
In a letter to Upadhyay, the Congress' in-charge of Uttarakhand affairs, Devendra Yadav, accused him of "continuously participating" in anti-party actions despite repeated warnings.
