IAF Suryakirans Air show over Umiam Lake in Shillong astounded the viewers

The Indian Air Force's Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) performed an air display in Shillong as part of the Swarnim Vijay Varsh, which included a flypast by fighters and helicopters from the Indian Air Force. The legendary Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force wowed the crowds in Shillong with a spectacular display.
The occasion was held to commemorate India's triumph in the Indo-Pak War of 1971, which occurred 50 years ago. Governor Satya Pal Malik of Meghalaya, who was joined by Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee, was the chief guest for the event. The occasion was also attended by Meghalaya Chief Secretary Rebecca Suchiang and a number of other high-ranking officials.
Air veterans, civil dignitaries, serving authorities, and the general public also attended the event. The audience was able to watch the IAF machines perform an aerial ballet in the blue sky of Shillong from several vantage points around Umiam Lake.
Flight Lieutenant Ridhima Gurung, briefing the media, said the crew is visiting Meghalaya for the first time in its 25-year history.
Another goal of the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) was to encourage young people to join the military.
