International Tiger Day; Tigers Were Often In Many Cultures Seen As Powerful And Dangerous Animals.

International Tiger Day or World Tiger Day is celebrated annually on 29 July to make people aware of the dangers and problems faced by tigers around the globe. The cutting down of trees which causes loss of habitat, illegal trading and hunting are some of the prime factors behind the declining population of the tigers.

The day was established in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit. The 13 tiger range countries which include India, Russia, and China, joined hands on this day and declared that they would double the number of wild tigers across their range by 2022, which is the Chinese year of Tiger.

Tigers were often in many cultures seen as powerful and dangerous animals. They are often associated with strength, courage, and bravery. Tigers represent some of the best qualities in people such as strength, courage, determination, and a will to succeed.
