ISSRO scientist Valarmathi, who voiced Chandrayaan-3's launch, passed away

Valarmathi, a prominent scientist from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest. She was known for her memorable countdown statements during rocket launches in Sriharikota. Her voice was last heard during the historic countdown to the launch of Chandrayaan-3, which accomplished a successful historic landing on the Moon.
India's moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, launched on its trip on July 14 from Sriharikota's Satish Dhawan Space Center. On August 23, the Lander Module (LM), which included the lander Vikram and the rover Pragyan, successfully touched down on the lunar surface. India was the first nation to reach the uncharted south pole of Earth's natural satellite, making it the fourth nation in the world to achieve such a feat.
But according to latest ISRO bulletins, the Pragyan rover has been momentarily put to sleep. It will be brought back to life by ISRO following a 14-day hiatus. The Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) and the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) are the two crucial payloads on this rover. These research tools are intended to examine the mineralogy and elemental makeup of lunar rocks and soil.
