‘It was our decency…will meet in court’: Assam CM lashed out at Rahul Gandhi on Adani tweet
The Assam CM lashed out at Rahul Gandhi following his tweet about Adani: "It was our decency ... we'll meet in court"
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma responded sharply to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tweet revealing the names of traitors and billionaire Gautam Adani, saying it was their "decency" to not question him on the National Herald and Bofors scam cases. On Saturday, Rahul Gandhi expanded upon his accusations against the Adani Group and asserted that the leaders of the Congress switching sides to the BJP was merely a diversion.
"They hide the truth, which is why they mislead every day," remarked Gandhi in a tweet.
He stated that the question of "who has 20,000 crore benami money in Adani's companies" remained the same and posted images spelling out Adani with the names of five Congress traitors, including Himanta Biswa Sarma.

सवाल वही है - अडानी की कंपनियों में ₹20,000 करोड़ बेनामी पैसे किसके हैं? pic.twitter.com/AiL1iYPjcx
The Assam chief minister, who joined the BJP in 2015, responded to Rahul Gandhi by tweeting: "It was our decency to have never asked you, on where have you concealed the proceeds of crime from the Bofors and National Herald Scams."
"And how you repeatedly allowed Ottavio Quattrocchi to evade the reach of Indian justice. Any way, we will meet in the court of law," he continued.
After a stunning report by US short-seller Hindenburg Research sent shares of Adani Group plunging, Congress has been trying to crack down on the Bharatiya Janata Party on the widely perceived close connection between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and billionaire Gautam Adani.
The Congress leader stated that he will continue to inquire as to who invested 20,000 crore in the Adani Group through shell companies and what the PM's relationship is with Adani."Please be aware that I have been disqualified because the PM is afraid of my upcoming address on Adani. They don't want me to speak. Adani and Modi have a close relationship, according to Gandhi, who stated this last month during a press conference.
