Jalpaiguri-Howarh Vande Bharat Express again stoned in Katihar: Report

On Friday in Bihar's Katihar, unidentified criminals attacked the recently opened New Jalpaiguri-Howarh Vande Bharat Express train with stones. Despite the fact that no injuries were reported, the stone pelting caused one of coach C-6's windows to break, according to news agency ANI.

The 22302 Vande Bharat Express escort party reported that passengers on berth no. 70 in coach 6 told them they had been stoned when they crossed Dalkhola-Telta railway station. According to a Bihar Railway Police Force official quoted by news agency ANI, the location is in Katihar, Bihar's Balrampur district.

The officer said, "One windowpane on the right side of coach C-6 was smashed as a result of the stone pelting."

On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi waved the train to depart.
The New Jalpaiguri-Howarth Junction Vande Bharat Express train has been attacked three times, the second of which occurred in Bihar. According to eastern railway officials, the train had already been attacked in West Bengal on the second day of operation when stones were hurled at the two coaches in Malda and the next day in Kishanganj.
