Jharkhand: Class 9 girl sets herself ablaze after teacher forced her to remove clothes

In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a Class 9 schoolgirl allegedly burned herself on fire on Friday after being forced to "remove clothes" by a teacher who apparently thought she was concealing paper chits in her uniform.
According to a police official who spoke with news agency PTI, the 14-year-old student was taken by her family members who were treating her for severe burn injuries to a local hospital.
Doctors reportedly stated that the girl had 80% burn damage and is still in critical condition.
According to the girl's statement to police, the female invigilator made fun of her and forced her to take off her clothes in a room next to a classroom to check if she was concealing paper chits in her uniform.
The youngster claimed that the teacher refused to budge from her demand despite her adamant pleas.
According to the officer, a complaint has been made against the teacher, and an investigation is being conducted at this time. The teen burned herself on fire shortly after returning home from school, according to the girl's mother, because she could not stand the embarrassment.
