Johnny Depp Defamation Trail; Amber Heard Testifies Ex-Husband Allegedly Assaulted Her
On Wednesday afternoon, in a courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia the 14th day of the defamation trial Amber Heard's testimony began. Johnny Depp suing Amber for $50 million while Heard has filed a $100 million countersuit again the Pirates of the Caribbean Sea actor.
Heard interpreted in the courtroom on the 14th day of trial that the first time Depp hit her on her face was over the issue of "tattoo". As they sitting on the couch and having a normal conversation when she asked about one of his tattoos, to which he replies to her "Wino", Winona Ryder was Johnny Depp's long-gone girlfriend and co-star.
"I just laughed because I thought he was joking. And he slapped me across the face. And I laughed. I laughed because I didn't know what else to do, " she thought was a joke and Depp reacted by slapping her again by cursing her, and on the third time of slapped her, she fell onto the carpet.
She assumed when that incident happened he was consuming cocaine and on a heavy drink. She testified that it was wrong not to leave him right when it happen.
However, Johnny denied hitting Amber over the tattoo which he changed to read " Wino Forever" after his split with Winona Ryder. Depp testifies that it was Heard who took the issue out of tattoo.
She wanted to confide in her mother about her relationship because at that point in the situation she can trust only her mother and eventually she opened up about her abusive relationship with Depp allegedly experienced.
" At first I just wanted someone to talk to about how scary it was, the rage and the uncontrolled a violence" she added saying, " I felt safe talking to my mother because I knew she understood these dynamics and she wouldn't judge me for staying with him, for loving him even though this was happening".
In a 2018 op-ed, she wrote about surviving domestic violence to The Washington Post without mentioning the abuser's name in which Depp sued Heard.
At the beginning of her testimony, she struggled to find a word for how it felt to sit through the defamation trial where all the personal information was projected before the judge and the entire world.
