A double-decker bus returns to Kolkata for Durga Puja after 30 years

For Durga Puja 2022, Kolkata's double-decker bus is back in service. From September 27 through October 10, residents can use the facility.
The bus will depart from Kolkata's Rabindra Sadan and arrive to Jorasanko as its destination.
For Durga Puja, the double-decker bus made its way back onto Kolkata's streets after 30 years. The bus, which will depart from the Rabindra Sadan and arrive to Jorasanko, the residence of the famous noble laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore, was officially opened on Tuesday by West Bengal's Minister of Tourism Babul Supriyo.
One of India's most important holidays, Durga Puja is one that is lavishly observed in Kolkata. Beginning on September 27 to October 10 residents can use the bus service.
During Durga Puja, the history bus would specifically assist the locals with pandal hopping. For individuals over the age of three, the bus price is Rs 50.
Babul Supriyo introduced the double-decker bus and remarked, "We sought to restore this tradition. As Bengalis celebrate Durga Puja, it is well past due. We are introducing the bus as a result. We believe it will draw more people and make everyone happy."
