Meghalaya: Brutal stabbing of a 19-year-old girl by her boyfriend in Nongpoh, Ri-bhoi district

In a horrifying event that happened under the Nongpoh police station in the Ri-bhoi district of Meghalaya, a 19-year-old girl was murdered by her boyfriend, who she had been in a relationship for the previous five months. The girl, who had been stabbed in the neck and the stomach, was reportedly discovered lying dead in the village road of Paham Syiem.

According to SP Ri-Bhoi District Giri Prasad, at around 11.45 am on Monday, Nongpoh police learned from the local headman that a young girl's body had been discovered dead in the village road. The police immediately rushed to the spot.

However, after committing the crime, the suspect escaped the scene with the aid of the villagers, and as a result, he was apprehended. There is currently an inquiry ongoing and a case has been filed in this regard.
