Meghalaya: Government Revises Load Shedding Hours

The state's residents continue to experience frequent power outages notwithstanding the amount of rainfall. The state government and MeECL, which had made grand declarations about ending power outages once it starts to rain, are currently keeping a stoic silence on the subject.
The MeECL has now released a new schedule for power outages, continuing its routine of load-shedding. Starting on September 1, Shillong and Tura will have power outages from 1am to 3am in the morning, while the remainder of the state will experience three hours of load-shedding.
Atul Mondal, the minister of power, made the declaration on Wednesday. The decision to change the load shedding timings, according to A T Mondal, is only temporary. According to Mondal, the load shedding schedule for Shillong and Tura will remain the same.
