Meghalaya: KSU to lock down Vice Chancellor's office over basic amenities issues
Khasi Students' Union to lock down Vice Chancellor's office over basic amenities issues

On May 22, the Khasi Students' Union (NEHU) chapter made the decision to lock down the Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla's office due to allegations that she had disregarded a number of demands from university students.
Improvements to a number of the students' fundamental needs, including transportation and lodging requirements, have been demanded by the Students' Union.
The Students' Union initially scheduled a meeting with the Vice Chancellor, but when the VC refused to see the NEHU KSU members, the KSU locked the VC's office. The KSU stated that until the VC heeds all demands, they have no intention of meeting.
