Meghalaya: NEHU-affiliated colleges exempted from CUET(Under Graduate)

According to a press release, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to exempt affiliated colleges of nine Central Universities, including the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), from the purview of the CUET (UG) 2022 and allow them to continue with 'admission in the 2022-23 academic session only' as per previous practices.
This decision was communicated to the Registrar, North-Eastern Hill University, and eight other central university registrars via UGC letter No. F.13-11/2020(CU) dated May 19, 2022, in response to representations received from the central universities of the north-east and the NER State Governments, and in compliance with the Ministry of Education, Government of India communiqué No 65-4/2020-CU.II dated May 13, 2022.
As a result, the admission procedure in the North-Eastern Hill University's affiliated colleges will be conducted in the same manner as in previous years, with no regard for the CUET (UG) 2022 score of aspiring applicants seeking admission in these colleges for the academic year 2022-23 only.
Except for B.Tech programmes, which take into account the JEE result, all admissions to NEHU's UG courses run in its campus will be done through CUET. In addition, the UGC has already announced the registration dates for CUET 2022 PG courses. As a central institution, NEHU will use CUET to accept students to PG programs. As a result, students are encouraged to enroll in CUET 2022 for PG courses.
