Missing Arunachal teen to be handed over soon, says Law minister Kiren Rijiju
Youth from Arunachal Pradesh who has been missing since January 18, 2022, Miram Taron, a 19-year-old boy from Bishing's Shiyung La. Some people claimed that the Chinese PLA had apprehended them. His father, Opon Taron, also made a passionate plea to India's Prime Minister for his son's safe return.
On the 19th of January, however, the Indian Army approached the Chinese side, requesting aid in locating the youth in case he had wandered into Chinese territory.
The Chinese side announced on January 20th that they had discovered a boy in their side.
Meanwhile, Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of Law and Justice, gave the good news today that the PLA had answered positively, indicating that our national would be handed over and suggesting a release location. They will most likely share a date and time in the near future. The delay was blamed on inclement weather on their end.
