Model's body discovered hanging in a hotel in Mumbai

A 40-year-old model's body was discovered Thursday hanging from a fan in a hotel room in Mumbai's Andheri district.
The model checked into the hotel on Wednesday night about 8 pm and also placed a meal order, according to the police.
Despite the housekeeping staff's repeated calls on Thursday, she did not answer. The motel management then told the police what had happened.
When the police arrived at the hotel and used the main key to enter the room, they discovered the model's body hanging from the fan.
A suicide note was also found at the scene, according to the authorities.

"I am sorry. No one is guilty for this. I am not happy. I simply need peace," the model wrote on her statement before she took her own life.

Versova Police sent the body for a post-mortem and filed a complaint under ADR. The inquiry is in progress. More information is awaited.
