According to ANI, the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority said on Monday that 21 bodies had been retrieved from the wreckage of the Tara Air flight that had crashed in Mustang district on Sunday.
At 9.55 a.m., a Tara Air plane with 22 people took off from Pokhara, a popular tourist destination. After 12 minutes, however, it lost communication with air traffic control.
According to residents who initially spotted the situation, the Tara Airplane crashed at the entrance of the Lamche River under the landslide of Manapathi Himal. Army spokesman Narayan Silwal said the Nepal Army was racing to the scene from both the ground and the air.
