PM Narendra Modi arrived Kedarnath Temple Prays and unveiled the Shankaracharya Statue; Watch
On Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kedarnath and offered prayers at the Shiva temple there.
The Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with the jawans stationed at the international border in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. By arriving there, he inspired them and gave them a sense of belonging; the Prime Minister has been celebrating Diwali with the jawans since taking office in 2014.
Meanwhile, after arriving in Kedarnath on Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 12-foot statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya that had been rebuilt after being destroyed in the Uttarakhand floods of 2013 and inaugurated the rebuilt samadhi of the eighth-century seer.

He will also lay the foundation stone for nearly 300 crores worth of repair projects at the Himalayan temple.
Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his cabinet colleagues Subodh Uniyal and Ganesh Joshi, as well as Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Premchand Aggarwal, received PM Modi at the Dehradun airport.
PM Modi has a long list of projects that he will inaugurated during the visit, including Saraswati Retaining Wall Aasthapath and Ghats, Mandakini Retaining Wall Aasthapath, Tirth Purohit Houses, and Garud Chatti bridge on the Mandakini River.
During his visit, he may address a public rally as well.
