Price of Milk to shoot up in Shillong; Meghalaya

Shillong Milkmen's Association will soon revise their rates following a move to increase milk prices in the city. This is after the continued rise in the costs of petrol, diesel, and LPG.

Ranjee Roy, general secretary of the Milkmen Association of East Khasi Hills, announced that they have decided to increase the rate of milk from Rs 46 to Rs 50 per litre. The rate will go into effect this Sunday, according to his announcement.

The revision is due to an increase in the price of cow feed and other basic goods, according to the association.

However, it may be claimed that the induced prices of various commodities have risen as a result of price increases, particularly in the last several weeks.
