Rahul Gandhi's pet name, "Noorie," opposed by the AIMIM leader, sued in court.

On Wednesday, a Prayagraj local court received a complaint from a leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for giving his mother Sonia Gandhi a dog named "Noorie."

Because the word "Noorie" is specifically associated with Islam and is mentioned in the holy book Quran, Mohammad Farhan said that the dog's name has offended his religious beliefs, according to PTI.

Farhan's approach to the court was verified to the agency by the office of the judicial magistrate. According to Muhammad Ali, the attorney for the AIMIM leader, they moved the court of Judicial Magisrate Aviral Singh on Monday in an attempt to file a formal complaint against Rahul Gandhi under IPC Section 295 A (hurting religious sentiments).

According to the attorney, the Congress leader's YouTube channel, Facebook page, and other newspapers were where the AIMIM leader first learned the dog's name.

Farhan claims that he had recommended Gandhi to rename the dog and issue a public apology via television networks and newspapers, but that advice had no impact on him.

According to the AIMIM leader's attorney, Farhan was called by the court on November 8 to provide a statement. He further stated that the court may call Rahul Gandhi after reviewing the complaint.
