Ranveer Singh says morphed images were posted online after a nude photo shoot

According to news agency ANI, actor Ranveer Singh alleged that someone altered and modified one of his images as he was making his statement in the nude photography case. After going naked for a magazine photoshoot, Ranveer Singh became the centre of a controversy. On July 21, pictures of Ranveer that showed him naked were uploaded to the internet.

He was seen reclining on a rug naked in one of the pictures, emulating Burt Reynolds' well-known look.

On July 26, a FIR was filed against Ranveer in response to a complaint made by an NGO office-holder who claimed that the actor had offended women's sentiments with his nude images. The FIR was filed by the Mumbai Police in accordance with several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 292 (sale of obscene books, etc.), 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman's modesty), and provisions of the Information Technology Act.
