Satyapal Malik, Governor of Meghalaya, says Modi government has destroyed farmers

Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik launched a new rant against the Narendra Modi-led BJP administration at the Center, accusing it of ruining the farmers and siding with businessmen Ambani and Adani.

The governor of Meghalaya observed that Modi was like gold while he was the chief minister of Gujarat, but that he had changed since moving to Delhi, possibly as a result of an evil eye, Tribune quoted Malik as saying.

The delay in the enactment of a law governing the minimum support price (MSP) casts doubt on the intentions of the Union Government. Farmers need to protest once again about this. It will probably start soon. You should be ready and join in as soon as it starts, Malik remarked on Friday while addressing a social gathering in the village of Bohar in the Rohtak district.

When he served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he used to speak out for farmers. He no longer cares about farmers or soldiers, though. He now supports Ambani and Adani,” Malik remarked.

He criticized Ambani and Adani harshly, calling them “bags of rotten potatoes” who should not be addressed as “seth.”

In order to rouse the farmers in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, I attend six public meetings each month, and I always carry my letter of resignation with me, said Malik.

In the next elections, he warned the agricultural community members not to be duped by communal forces and to cast their votes solely for candidates who favor farmers.
