"Shoot me if you think it would bring good to the Tiprasa"; Tripura royal scion over BJP slogans

Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, a royal descendant of Tripura, stated on Thursday that he is willing to die for the benefit of the native population of the state. Pradyot is the leader of the TIPRA Motha party, which has controlled the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) since last year.
His remarks were made against the backdrop of a viral video showing some claimed BJP members chanting "Death to Pradyot" in Ampinagar, Gomati district, more than 60 kilometers from the state capital Agartala.

The BJP has accused the TIPRA Motha of corruption, and on Wednesday it filed memoranda at 44 zonal offices throughout the state. Regarding the claims, Pradyot stated that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report presented by the BJP, the state's dominant political force, was in relation to problems from 2014 and earlier, when TIPRA Motha wasn't in charge of the district council.
"So far, the 10 crores or other funds haven't brought us anything. Therefore, if you want to accuse us of corruption, send the money first. Money is a prerequisite in the first place. How can corruption occur in the absence of money? remarked Pradyot.
Animesh Debbarma, vice-chief executive of the Tripura ADC, claimed that the claims were baseless and that the BJP was attempting to draw attention away from the Greater Tipraland problem.
Pradyot previously posted a tweet with the following message: "If you as a nation forget your heritage you lose your identity! My dream is to make sure that our people receive their rights rather than, like some, sitting on a Singhasan!
