A helium tank explosion in a busy Trichy market results in one fatality and numerous injuries
A helium tank tragically detonated on Sunday in a market area of Trichy, Tamil Nadu’s Kotai Vasal district. Several people were hurt in the event, and one person died, according to sources. On-site CCTV cameras with multiple recording capabilities captured the entire incident. The deceased has reportedly been identified as Maattu Ravi. Officials from the police department gathered the CCTV images showing the explosion’s precise moment. Authorities from the police are searching for the balloon vendor whose helium tank exploded. The Trichy police have opened an inquiry and filed a case.Notably, the explosion happened in the bustling market district of Kottai Vasal. Police personnel reported that the area was busy on Sunday night. A 13-year-old boy was among the other victims who also suffered injuries. The blast broke numerous vehicles’ window panes.
