"The Chinese PLA abused me, gave me electric shocks," Says Miram Taron...
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Miram Taron, a 17-year-old teenager from Arunachal Pradesh who was 'abducted' by China's People's Liberation Army (PLA), says he was bound and shocked. On January 27, nine days after he went missing, he was released by the PLA.
"They bound my hands and whisked me away into the woods." "They abused me on the first day, giving me electric shocks," he stated. "But that was the end of it." From the second day on, they didn't torture me," he claimed.
On the 18th of January, he went missing. From the India-China border, he was abducted by the PLA. The Indian Army just returned him to his family, and the Tuting (Zido) locals gave him a warm welcome.
Taron claimed he was out hunting with his pals when he was apprehended by the Chinese PLA. He couldn't tell if they were Indian or Chinese military at first. "I was apprehended and cuffed. Later, I was shackled and had a cloth placed over my head. "After that, I was brought to a Chinese army camp," he explained. He said that he, too, had been beaten up. "However, I was provided food and drink," he continued.
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China had abducted the 17-year-old child from the Upper Siang district, according to Tapir Gao, an Arunachal Pradesh MP and BJP leader. Later, Ninong Ering, a Congress MLA from Arunachal Pradesh's Pasighat West constituency, said the incidence had been confirmed by the local SP.
