'The Kerala Story' leaves woman accusing live-in partner of forced conversion

On charges of raping his live-in partner and forcing her to convert to another religion, a 23-year-old man was detained in Indore. The woman and her partner got into an argument after viewing "The Kerala Story," according to the police, and she then filed a FIR.

The Madhya Pradesh Freedom of faith Act 2021, which prohibits forced or fraudulent conversion to another faith, and the Indian Penal Code were both used to justify the man's detention, according to Dinesh Verma, in-charge of the Khajrana police station.

She filed the FIR against the man "after she fell into the trap of love under the pretense of marriage," according to Dinesh Verma, who also highlighted that they were living together.
The woman said that the man had forced her to change her religion.
