According to sources, President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate many development projects in Tripura during her two-day visit to the northeastern state on Wednesday. The President is slated to arrive at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport here around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday. It will be Murmu's first visit to the state since taking office. During his visit, Murmu would flag off the Guwahati-Kolkata express up to Agartala and the Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala extension. According to them, the Jan Satabdi express has arrived in Khongsang (Manipur) with new LHB rakes and Vistadome coaches.

She will also dedicate to the nation the trans-shiftment yard created at Nischintapur, the crossing site of the Indo-Bangla railway project, six kilometres away from the state capital via video link. The President is set to lay the groundwork for the Pushbanta Palace Museum and National Law University in Narsinghgarh, West Tripura. The state government intends to turn Pushbanta Palace, which Maharaja Birendra Kishore Mankya Bahadur erected in 1917, into a digital museum. During his travels to Tripura, Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore resided at the palace. Until April 2018, the Governor's formal residence was the Pushbanta palace.

The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) will give Murmu a civic greeting at Town Hall, where Chief Minister Manik Saha, Mayor Dipak Majumder, and cabinet ministers will be present. The President is expected to meet with political leaders, dignitaries, and members of the general public. On October 13, the president will visit Udaipur to pray at the Tripureswari shrine before departing for Guwahati at 1.10 p.m.

In preparation for the President's visit to the state, security has been increased in Agartala and its surrounding areas. "A high-level security team from Delhi has already arrived to oversee the President's security arrangements. They went to the event locations to inspect the security measures put in place by the state police. They are in contact with senior police officers in order to improve cooperation ", according to a senior police officer.
