Assam: Truck collides with a vehicle carrying pilgrims on NH-37: 3 killed, several injured
An accident involving a vehicle carrying pilgrims on the NH-37 in Morigaon, Assam has left three people dead and 14 people injured
Three persons died and numerous more suffered serious injuries in yet another terrible collision involving a truck and a van transporting pilgrims on National Highway-37 in the Dharamtul area of Assam's Morigaon district.
The police reported that "After taking a holy bath in the Lohit river on Makar Sankranti, the pilgrims were making their way back. Injured patients have been admitted to hospital"

All of the injured passengers were sent immediately to the Morigaon Civil Hospital.
They are reportedly in critical condition. According to sources, the tragedy occurred as about 17 pilgrims were traveling from Parsuram Kunda in Arunachal Pradesh back to Guwahati.
