Assam, Meghalaya to record heavy rainfall from southwesterly winds from BoB

According to weather forecasts, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will experience a fresh round of rain for nearly the entire week.
The Bay of Bengal is the primary source of strong south-westerly winds, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). And during the course of the following five days, Assam and Meghalaya will experience mild to moderate, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.
Additionally, till Friday (May 26), isolated areas of Assam and Meghalaya are predicted to have heavy rains (64.5 mm–115.5 mm), as are Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura between Wednesday and Friday (May 24-26).
For the duration of the prediction, the IMD has issued a yellow watch across the area, advising residents to "be updated" on the bad weather.
