PM Modi congratulated for getting it's first electric train

Meghalaya received its first electric train, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi complimented the state on. Embracing the success of the Indian Railways, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed pleasure. "Wonderful news for Meghalaya and improving connectivity in the Northeast, he tweeted. In addition, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of the union railway, posted a video of an electric train beginning its voyage with the description, "Electric train for the first time in Meghalaya."

In order to run electric trains in the northeastern state of Meghalaya for the first time, the Indian Railways has successfully electrified two important routes. On March 15, the Northeast Frontier Railway formally opened the single-line portion between Dudhnai and Mendipathar (22.823 track kilometers) and the double-line leg between Abhayapuri and Pancharatna (34.59 track kilometers).
