A group of about 20 women doctors attached to a leading private hospital has created a 15-minute short film “Karuthelodu Mumbottu” on ways and means to defeat breast cancer.
Radiation oncologist Jenny Joseph wrote the script and directed the awareness film as well as acted in it.
Breast cancer, which is one of the most common causes of concern among women, should be avoided. The awareness video was scripted, directed, and acted in by medical personnel from the Caritas Hospital in Kottayam.
“On World Cancer Day, a YouTube video was released with the purpose of informing people that early detection can in some cases completely cure the disease. We felt that we had to send this message out and decided to create an awareness video,” said Joseph.

There is no reason to be afraid of an examination, and we decided to lead from the front with this film,” added Joseph. There were also several other women doctors involved in the film, including Swapna, Judith, Sunu, and Asha, among others.
