24 hours after his body was ‘buried,’ a Tamil Nadu man returns home alive.

On Monday evening, a 55-year-old man who was assumed dead and buried by his relatives on Sunday evening returned home alive. The incident occurred near Erode in Banagaladpur.

According to the TOI, Moorthy, a daily wage worker, had gone to Tirupur a few days before to harvest sugarcane. On Sunday morning, his son, Karthi, received a phone call from a relative informing him that his father had been discovered dead at a nearby bus stop.

According to a police officer, his son came to the scene and confirmed that it was his father’s body. The body was given over to the family by the Sathyamangalam police, who performed the last honours and buried the deceased on Sunday night.

However, when Moorthy stepped into the house on Monday evening, the family was taken aback. Karthi, his son, was shocked. “We couldn’t believe our eyes when he entered the house,” he added. I was stunned to learn of my father’s death, and I was even more stunned when he entered the house.”

Karthi informed the police, who have reopened their investigation into the deceased person’s true identity. Officials raced to the burial site after receiving the information. Doctors from a government hospital were called in to exhume the remains and perform a postmortem. In the presence of the local Tasildar and Revenue officer, the autopsy was performed in the same spot.
