7 died after fire broke in Shanties of Delhi; 60 cottages burnt

A fire broke out in the shanties of Delhi’s Gokulpuri district early Saturday, killing at least seven people.
A call of a fire that had burned roughly 60 cottages was received around 1 a.m., according to the Delhi Fire Services. According to the fire service, a total of 13 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to put out the blaze.

At the scene, seven burnt remains were discovered. According to Devesh Kumar Mahla, assistant deputy commissioner of police (north-east), the fire was ultimately put out about 4 a.m.
