Andrew Pollack recalled his daughter with the Texas school shooting and urged to improve security at schools

The pain of losing the loved one can only emphasis by one who has been through the same way. Likewise, the father Andrew Pollack who lost his daughter in the 2018 Parkland shooting, said the Uvalde, Texas school shooting was “avoidable” on Wednesday and called on legislators and community leaders to improve security at schools.

Pollack’s daughter, Meadow, was killed in the Parkland, Florida high school attack ever since he has been advocating for empowering parents to fight for their children to improve safety measures as well as generating awareness to expand school security. He was upset with the federal government for not keeping the children enough safe.

“There’s no reason why we could give 40 billion away to Ukraine, and we can’t protect our children in this country,” he urged the parents to get involved in their children’s schools.

“They need to go to their local school districts, get involved, see who’s on their school boards, and see if they’re taking school safety seriously.”

Pollack motivated the parents to be involved with the community as well as involved with local school boards and to stay strong. He feels the pain the parents have been going through right now, and it reminds him of her daughter and makes him emotional yet stood up to make a difference.

“I get a wave of emotion every time I think of my princess Meadow, it just comes over you. And it’s very overwhelming constantly to feel it. But I do things like now. I try and talk to parents and tell them to get involved and try and make a difference,” he said.

Across the U.S school districts are putting up the high security measures following the fatal mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. Which actually need to be before the incident ever occurred.
